Terms of Use
Effective October 3, 2026
These terms cover your use of the InkTrove app and this website. By creating an account or using InkTrove, you agree to them. In short: use InkTrove for your own collecting and trading, InkTrove Pro is billed and managed through the App Store, "unlimited" scanning is subject to fair use, and features, limits and prices can change over time.
Who can use InkTrove
InkTrove accounts are for people aged 13 and older. You're responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity on your account. Please give accurate information when you sign up.
The free plan
InkTrove is free to use, with some limits. For example, the free plan currently includes a set number of card scans per day and binder page scans per week. The features and limits of the free plan may change, be reduced or end at any time, and the app shows your current limits as you use it.
InkTrove Pro
- What it includes: InkTrove Pro is an optional subscription that removes the free plan's scan limits and adds extra features, as described in the app at the time you subscribe.
- Billing: Pro is sold as a monthly or annual subscription and is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancelling: you can cancel any time in your App Store account settings, or from InkTrove Pro → Manage Subscription in the app. Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so please cancel there as well if you delete your InkTrove account.
- Refunds: payments are handled by Apple, and refund requests go through Apple under its policies.
- Your account: Pro is tied to your InkTrove account. Restoring purchases while signed in to a different InkTrove account moves Pro to that account.
- Changes: we may change Pro's price or features in the future. Price changes for existing subscribers are communicated in advance as required by the App Store, and you can cancel if you don't want to continue.
Fair use of unlimited scanning
"Unlimited scans" means you can scan as much as normal personal collecting needs, without daily limits. It's meant for one person managing their own collection, including big sessions like opening a booster box or adding a large collection.
To keep InkTrove running for everyone and protect against abuse and technical faults, very high usage may be temporarily limited. Fair-use limits are currently set at several thousand scans per month, far above what typical collectors use. If you reach one, the app will tell you and when it resets. Automated scanning, scripts, reselling scans, or using InkTrove to process cards for a business or for other people isn't allowed.
Tips
Tips are optional one-time payments to support InkTrove's development. They don't unlock features or content. Tips are handled by Apple, and refunds go through Apple under its policies.
Card scanning and card information
Scanning reads cards from photos and may sometimes identify a card incorrectly, so please check results before relying on them. Scanning currently supports English-language cards. Card names, images and details come from public sources such as Lorcast, and prices or links to sites like TCGplayer are provided for convenience only. We don't guarantee that card information or prices are complete, current or accurate.
Your data
Your collection, trades, needs and decks belong to you. We store them to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and its data at any time from inside the app.
Trading with other players
InkTrove helps you find trades, but trades themselves happen between players. We aren't part of any trade and aren't responsible for the condition, value or delivery of cards, or for what other players do. Please trade carefully and only with people you trust.
Acceptable use
Please don't misuse InkTrove. That includes trying to get around plan limits or payments, accessing other people's accounts or data, scraping or overloading the service, reverse engineering the app, or using InkTrove for anything unlawful or harmful. We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Disney Lorcana
InkTrove is an unofficial fan-made companion app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney or Ravensburger. Disney Lorcana, its card names, artwork and related marks belong to their respective owners.
Changes and availability
We're always improving InkTrove, so features may be added, changed or removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. If we make meaningful changes to these terms, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Continuing to use InkTrove after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
InkTrove is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, InkTrove and its developer are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, trades or card value, arising from your use of the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for InkTrove Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here affects rights you have under local consumer law.
App Store terms
If you downloaded InkTrove from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for InkTrove or its support.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer law in your country says otherwise.
